As a Support Worker with Mindcare Network, you’ll work with a range of participants across Brisbane and the Moreton Bay region, providing individualised support based on each person’s needs, goals and interests.
A key part of this position will also involve supporting a family, including working closely with children and young people. Building genuine relationships, having fun and providing consistent, family-centred support will be an important part of this role.
Consistency is really important to our participants, so we’re looking for someone who can offer reliable and consistent availability each week and build ongoing relationships with the people they support.
Weekend availability is essential for this position, and applicants must be available to work regular weekend shifts.
Key responsibilities
- Community access and social activities
- Supporting participants to build confidence, independence and life skills
- Engaging in activities with children and young people
- Daily living and in-home support
- Attending appointments and community activities
- Personal care where required
- Supporting participants to work towards their individual NDIS goals
- Working alongside parents/carers and other members of a participant’s support network
- Providing trauma-informed, respectful and person-centred support

- Understanding of disability, mental health and trauma-informed support
- Comfortable working alongside parents, carers and other supports
- Happy to provide community-based support and transport where required
You will also need:
- Current Australian Driver Licence
- Reliable vehicle
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Working with Children Check / Blue Card
- Current First Aid and CPR
- NDIS Worker Orientation Module
- Appropriate vehicle insurance for providing community-based supports
