Pinpoint Property Recruitment
Melbourne
The Organisation: You will be working for a large, complex and fast-moving Australian organisation with a significant national footprint and a critical infrastructure portfolio that plays an essential role in supporting its operations.
With a multi-site property and infrastructure network, the organisation operates in a highly regulated environment where safety, reliability and compliance matter. Behind the scenes, there is a substantial Property, Facilities and Asset Management operation responsible for ensuring that critical assets, buildings, and infrastructure continue to perform.
With a vibrant, highly professional team dynamic, this opening will see you working alongside highly skilled, educated professionals who are strategic and commercially oriented in their thinking. You will be joining a values-based organisation that is driving efficiency and performance to deliver exceptional service to its clients.
The Opportunity:
The Property and Facilities team is striving for high standards, with a strong focus on governance, assurance, risk, and greater visibility across the portfolio.
You’ll provide independent assurance across statutory compliance, essential services, fire safety, WHS, contractor performance and property-related risk, providing senior leadership with a clear picture of where the organisation stands, where exposure exists and what needs to happen next.
This is not simply a reporting role.
You’ll be expected to challenge, investigate and verify. If the evidence doesn’t support the position being presented, you’ll ask the questions. If actions aren’t progressing, you’ll drive accountability. And where there is material exposure, you’ll ensure it gets visibility.
It is an initial 12-month fixed-term contract.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leading national assurance and compliance across a large, complex multi-site portfolio.
- Developing and executing a risk-based assurance and audit programme.
- Independently verifying statutory compliance, essential services,
fire safety and WHS obligations.
- Providing governance oversight of outsourced Facilities Management service delivery.
- Challenging compliance reporting and validating the evidence behind it.
- Identifying and escalating material compliance, contractual and operational risks.
- Driving audit findings, non-conformances and corrective actions through to closure.
- Maintaining portfolio-level compliance and risk reporting.
- Supporting regulatory, accreditation and audit readiness.
- Providing concise, decision-focused assurance reporting to senior leadership.
- Improving systems, controls and processes rather than simply identifying where they have failed.
Why You Should Apply:
- This opportunity offers genuine national exposure and visibility within a substantial Property and Facilities function.
- You will be working for a values-based organisation, whereby you will actively make a positive impact on their customers.
- There is an opportunity to strengthen frameworks, improve assurance, lift accountability and influence how compliance and property-related risk are managed across the organisation.
- Your technical depth, commercial thinking, curiosity and drive will be warmly embraced.
- A collaborative team environment, clear direction from leadership, and working alongside highly skilled professionals will help you slot right in.
- Modern offices with excellent public transport links and beautiful scenery nearby
- An initial 12-month contract, the recruitment process will be thorough but swift
- A highly attractive salary on offer of circa $200k plus super.
Your Key Skills and Attributes:
We are looking for a smart, analytical,
and commercially minded professional who can step into a role with genuine reach and influence. You will know how to operate across a complex environment without relying on positional authority. You will excel at managing competing priorities, senior stakeholders, outsourced service providers and technical specialists.
Your strength will be that you take complicated technical, regulatory, or contractual information, quickly get to the heart of the issue, and make things happen.
What You’ll Bring:
- 5 plus years of experience across assurance, compliance, risk, WHS, fire safety or a related technical discipline.
- Experience working across complex, multi-site property, facilities or critical infrastructure environments, ideally multi-states.
- Strong understanding of statutory compliance, essential services, fire safety and WHS.
- Demonstrated capability in developing or delivering risk-based audit and assurance programmes.
- Experience providing oversight of outsourced service providers and contractors.
- The ability to interpret legislation, standards, technical information and audit evidence.
- Confidence in challenging incomplete evidence, weak controls or unsupported compliance positions.
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing capability.
- The ability to operate effectively at pace while maintaining attention to detail.
- A relevant tertiary or vocational qualification.
Lead Auditor qualifications and relevant professional accreditation will be highly regarded.
If you’re at your best in complex environments where there’s plenty to get across, plenty to improve and an expectation that you’ll make an impact quickly, this is the opening for you! To apply, please click and attach your covering letter and resume. Contact: Louise Rowe
