About the role

This is a hands-on management position suited to someone who enjoys hospitality, takes pride in their work and understands what it takes to run a high-quality accommodation property. You will oversee the daily operation of the guesthouse, ensuring everything runs smoothly from guest arrivals and departures through to housekeeping, laundry, maintenance, bookings and guest experience.

Key responsibilities

- Managing the day-to-day operations of the guesthouse

- Delivering a warm, personalised and high level of guest service

- Managing reservations, enquiries and guest communications

- Coordinating housekeeping and ensuring rooms and shared spaces are maintained to an exceptional standard

- Managing check-ins, check-outs and guest requests

- Managing day-to-day laundry duties, including washing, drying, folding, ironing and linen organisation

- Ensuring all guest linen, towels and other laundry items are clean, pressed, well-presented and appropriately stocked

- Liaising with tradespeople, suppliers and contractors

- Monitoring property presentation, maintenance and general upkeep

- Managing staff, rosters and day-to-day team requirements

About you

- Proven experience managing an accommodation property

- Experience in a boutique hotel, guesthouse,



luxury accommodation, hotel or similar environment is essential

- Experienced in accommodation management and confident running a property independently

- Highly organised and able to manage multiple priorities

- Warm, personable and genuinely guest-focused

- Professional, reliable and proactive

- Strong communicator with excellent attention to detail

- Comfortable managing staff and coordinating contractors and suppliers

- Confident using booking and property management systems

- Happy to be hands-on with housekeeping and laundry duties
