Senior Electrical Engineer – Building Services | Data Centres & Critical Facilities | Brisbane - 160 to 130k

Join a high-performing Building Services team delivering some of Australia’s most technically complex projects.

We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to join a leading engineering consultancy in Brisbane, working across Data Centres, Mission Critical and Critical Facilities.

This is an prospect for an engineer who wants to move beyond conventional building services projects and work on highly technical, high-reliability environments where electrical engineering is fundamental to the operation of the facility.

The Opportunity
This is a senior role in the design and delivery of major electrical building services projects, working alongside experienced engineers, project leaders and multidisciplinary teams.
You will have the opportunity to work across projects from concept and feasibility through to detailed design, construction and commissioning, with exposure to some of the most technically demanding facilities being delivered in Australia.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Lead electrical engineering design across major Data Centre and Critical Facility projects
- Develop and review electrical designs, calculations, specifications and technical documentation
- Design and coordinate HV/LV distribution, power generation, UPS, essential services, lighting, earthing and associated electrical systems
- Develop resilient and reliable electrical solutions appropriate for mission-critical environments
- Undertake load assessments, fault calculations, protection and discrimination studies
- Coordinate electrical services with mechanical, structural, architectural and specialist disciplines
- Provide technical leadership to engineers and project teams
- Liaise directly with clients, contractors, architects and other project stakeholders
- Support project delivery from concept through detailed design, construction and commissioning
- Contribute to technical reports,



proposals and business development opportunities
- Mentor and develop junior and intermediate engineers

What We're Looking For
We are interested in speaking with Senior Electrical Engineers who have:

- 7+ years' electrical engineering experience, ideally within Building Services consulting
- Strong experience delivering complex electrical building services projects
- Experience in Data Centres, Mission Critical, Defence, Healthcare, Transport or other critical infrastructure will be highly regarded
- Strong technical knowledge of HV/LV power distribution and electrical infrastructure
- Experience with resilient/redundant electrical systems
- Strong understanding of Australian Standards, NCC and relevant electrical codes
- Experience with electrical modelling/design software such as ETAP, PowerCAD, SKM or similar
- Excellent design coordination and documentation skills
- The ability to communicate confidently with clients and project stakeholders
- A genuine interest in technically challenging engineering projects

CPEng / NER registration, or a clear pathway towards professional registration, will be highly regarded.
