We're looking for experienced, qualified Heavy Diesel Fitters to join our FIFO team from Perth.

The job
Day to day, you'll:

- Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic and electrical faults
- Carry out preventative maintenance and breakdown repairs
- Work on underground equipment, including Sandvik trucks, drills and loaders, CAT graders and Volvo integrated tool carriers
- Scope jobs and estimate time, materials and resources
- Work closely with shift supervisors, mechanics and other underground personnel

What you need
The essentials:





- Heavy Diesel Mechanic qualification recognised in Australia (essential)
- At least 2 years' post-trade experience in underground mining or related industries (e.g. agriculture, civil, construction)
- Manual driver's licence (essential) and relevant RPLs to operate underground vehicles
- Solid knowledge of underground mining regulations, procedures and safe handling of explosives
- Robust diagnostic, fault-finding and maintenance skills
- Ability to work in confined spaces and physically demanding conditions
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical, including a drug and alcohol screen
- National Police Clearance within the last 6 months (required)
