About the role

Nexar Group is seeking Security Officers to work across multiple locations in Melbourne and Eastern Suburbs, covering hospitals and retail environments. You will be responsible for maintaining security, supporting customers and clients, and responding to incidents across fixed locations with long-term coverage opportunities.

Key responsibilities

- Support Nexar Group with 20+ hours per week across 4 to 7 day roster with shift lengths of minimum 4 hours to maximum 12 hours

- Provide excellent customer and client service

- Liaise with police and emergency response services when necessary

- Verbally de-escalate situations

- Identify risks and resolve issues

- Deter theft and report missing assets

- Work autonomously and in a group

- Adapt to situations that arise

- Perform static and roving duties

About you

- Certificate II in Security Operations

- Valid Security License and current First Aid Certificate

- Full, unlimited right-to-work in Australia

- Ability to work days and/or nights

- Ability to perform static duties from 4-12 hour shifts

- Willing to work on rotating roster and cover ADHOC shifts

- Able to remain calm under pressure and communicate effectively

- Positive written and verbal communication skills





- Good customer and client service skills

- Demonstrated ability to prioritise multiple tasks in a team-oriented way

- Physical capacity to perform the duties of the position including static and roving roles

- Intermediate computer skills

- Crowd control experience and customer service

- Ability to travel to Melbourne CBD and surrounds

- Employee WWCC card or willing to apply

- NPC check or willing to attain
