About the Company
Our client is an established provider of residential aged care, with a group of homes across the Sydney metropolitan area and a solid reputation in the sector. This home has 80 beds and a culturally diverse resident community, including a significant Chinese community. You would lead alongside two Care Managers, with quality and education support on site three days a week, in a group that backs its people's career development, so you have day to day support and a clear path to grow.
About the Position
Our client is looking for an experienced Facility Manager with a strong clinical and business management background and outstanding leadership to run the home day to day and put the group's philosophy, objectives and policies into practice. You will lead a multicultural team across resident care, partnerships with families and friends, administration and finance, quality and continuous improvement, staff management, industrial and legislative requirements, work health and safety, education and workforce development, public relations and business development. That breadth gives you real ownership of the whole home. Because a significant part of the resident community has a Chinese background, Mandarin or Cantonese language skills and an understanding of the cultural needs of Chinese residents and families are highly regarded, and will help you build trust quickly with residents, families and staff. They are not essential,



and candidates without them will still be considered.
Key Requirements
Essential:

- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse (Division 1)
- Three years or more of general nursing experience
- Three years or more in a management role in aged care homes
- Thorough understanding of, and experience with, accreditation and aged care funding
- Strong HR and financial management skills
- Demonstrated team building and change management skills
- Excellent communication skills and a highly responsible approach

Preferred: Certificate or Diploma in Gerontology, Aged Care or Management
Highly regarded:

- Mandarin or Cantonese
- Understanding of the cultural needs of Chinese residents and families
