What does the job look like?

Are you an experienced Heavy Vehicle Mechanic looking for a workshop where you can focus on quality work, enjoy genuine work-life balance and be recognised for your skills?

At Linfox, you'll work in a service-led workshop environment supported by modern equipment, a well-maintained fleet and a team that values safety, teamwork and craftsmanship. We partner with OEMs and external specialists for major component repairs, allowing our mechanics to focus on servicing, diagnostics, preventative maintenance and keeping our fleet operating safely and reliably.

You'll have the flexibility to choose between Day Shift or Afternoon Shift, with afternoon shift attracting an 18% shift loading, helping you find a schedule that suits your lifestyle.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out high-quality servicing and maintenance across our fleet, including oil changes, filters, lubrication and general mechanical work.

- Diagnose and fault-find mechanical and electrical issues using modern diagnostic tools.
- Inspect key components including engines, transmissions and steering systems.
- Replace and reassemble parts with accuracy and care.
- Complete inspections, detailed reports and roadworthy assessments.
- Test and adjust vehicles post-service to ensure performance and safety standards are met.
- Provide occasional breakdown support to get vehicles back on the road quickly.
