This is not a traditional Financial Controller role.

Mandurah Automotive Group and Peel Motor Group are entering an exciting new chapter under new ownership, with two sites, nine automotive franchises and a strong mix of established and emerging brands.

We are transforming a 55-year-old automotive business and are looking for an energetic, commercially minded Financial Controller to be right in the middle of it.

You will work as the 2IC and commercial running mate to the Dealer Principal, helping drive performance, challenge decisions and turn data into action.

This is a role for someone who wants to run a business, not sit behind a desk and report on one.

The Role

Working closely with the Dealer Principal and department managers, you will:

- Analyse performance across New, Used, Service, Parts, Finance and Aftercare

- Identify profit, cost and productivity opportunities

- Drive budgeting, forecasting and performance management

- Manage cash flow, working capital, vehicle stock and floorplan exposure

- Maintain robust financial controls and balance sheet integrity

- Turn dealership data into clear commercial actions

- Challenge assumptions and support better operational decisions

Importantly, you won't be buried in transactional processing.





A Perth-based corporate finance and shared-services team manages much of the routine processing and data entry, allowing you to focus on the business, its performance and its future.

About You

We're looking for someone who is:

- Commercially sharp, curious and energetic

- Confident working with operational managers

- Comfortable challenging people constructively

- Strong with numbers but able to communicate simply

- Experienced in automotive dealership finance or operations

- Interested in understanding why performance is moving, not just reporting it

You may currently be a Financial Controller, Dealership Accountant, Commercial Manager or senior automotive finance professional ready for a broader role.

CA or CPA qualifications are welcome, but commercial judgement, energy and operational capability matter more.
