If you're studying a Master of Occupational Therapy, Master of Physiotherapy or Master of Speech Pathology, this role puts you in paediatric therapy sessions alongside experienced clinicians while you finish your degree. You'll support children and families across individual and group programs, working under the supervision of qualified Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists and Speech Pathologists.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
- Assisting clinicians with therapy sessions and program delivery
- Implementing treatment plans under the supervision of qualified practitioners
- Supporting individual and group-based therapy programs
- Writing progress notes and reports
- Working with Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Speech Pathologists and other allied health professionals
- Supporting families, carers and stakeholders through education and communication
- Helping children build skills, confidence and independence
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
- Current enrolment in a Master of Occupational Therapy, Master of Physiotherapy or Master of Speech Pathology
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative approach
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Current driver's licence and access to a vehicle
- Working With Children Check and NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain)
- Australian citizenship or permanent residency
