Operating at both a strategic and operational level, you will partner with senior leaders to identify capability priorities, address cultural and behavioural risks, and implement targeted interventions that drive organisational performance. You will also provide leadership and governance of the Respectful Workplace Support service, ensuring prevention, education and early intervention initiatives are integrated with broader capability and leadership objectives. This role offers a unique opportunity to establish a function with clear purpose, strong professional standards and measurable organisation-wide impact.

Key responsibilities include:

- Lead and implement Legal Aid NSW's enterprise organisational capability strategy across learning, leadership development, performance and workplace behaviour.

- Design, govern and continuously improve organisational capability, leadership and performance frameworks, programs and service standards.

- Provide strategic leadership of the Respectful Workplace Support service, including prevention initiatives, governance arrangements and escalation pathways.

- Use workforce data, behavioural trends, service insights and performance metrics to identify organisational risks and inform evidence-based interventions.

- Lead and develop a multidisciplinary team while providing expert advice to senior leaders on capability development, leadership effectiveness, workplace behaviour and organisational culture.

About You You are an experienced and credible people leader who is passionate about building organisational capability, strengthening leadership and fostering a high-performance, respectful workplace culture. You bring the strategic thinking to develop enterprise-wide frameworks and initiatives, while remaining focused on practical implementation and measurable outcomes.
You are comfortable partnering with senior leaders on complex and sensitive people matters, providing trusted advice that balances organisational priorities with workforce needs.
