Canter Driver - Pet Aftercare

At Pets in Peace, part of the InvoCare Group, we help families honour a lifetime of unconditional love. We are looking for a compassionate, reliable and safety-focused Driver to join our Operations Team, supporting our Loganholme, Ipswich and Toowoomba locations.

This is a meaningful, hands-on role providing an essential service to families and veterinary partners during a sensitive time.

About the Role

Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for the safe, respectful and efficient transportation of deceased pets between our Pets in Peace locations.

We currently have one full-time opportunity available, supporting our Loganholme, Ipswich and Toowoomba operations.

Work Type & Hours

- Full-time position
- Monday to Friday
- 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM
- Occasional weekend work may be required
- Flexibility may be required depending on operational and client needs

Key Responsibilities

- Safely and respectfully collect and transfer pets between Pets in Peace locations
- Accurately scan and track all pets and transported items before loading and unloading
- Ensure pets and transported items are correctly tagged, weighed, secured and stored in designated locations
- Complete transport and operational documentation accurately and on time
- Comply with Australian Road Rules and applicable heavy vehicle requirements
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness, presentation and general condition to company standards
- Promptly report vehicle servicing requirements, mechanical issues or damage
- Follow WH&S; requirements and report hazards, incidents or safety concerns promptly

About You

- Current HR (Heavy Rigid) driver licence with a clean driving record
- Reliable, safety-focused and professional
- Strong communication skills with a compassionate and respectful approach




- Able to manage multiple priorities in a time-sensitive environment
- Comfortable working within the pet aftercare industry
- Flexible and able to adapt to changing operational requirements
