Buderim Air is a well-established air conditioning and refrigeration company based on the Sunshine Coast, servicing residential, commercial, marine and industrial clients across South East Queensland.

Our work spans residential air conditioning, commercial HVAC, refrigeration, maintenance, breakdown service, marine refrigeration and major installation projects.

As our business continues to grow, we are looking for experienced tradespeople and advanced apprentices to join our team in full-time, long-term positions. We are currently seeking:

- Air Conditioning Installers

- Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Technicians

- Late 2nd Year & 3rd Year Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Apprentices

About the roles

Air Conditioning Installers

We are looking for experienced installers who can confidently complete residential and commercial air conditioning installations, including:

- Installation of split, multi-split, ducted and light commercial air conditioning systems

- Replacement and upgrade works

- Refrigeration pipework, pressure testing, evacuation and commissioning

- Electrical connection and commissioning associated with air conditioning installations

- Installation of ductwork, grilles, zoning systems and controls

- Reading plans and completing installations to a high standard

- Working independently and as part of larger installation teams

- Ensuring all work complies with WHS requirements,



Australian Standards and industry regulations

- Providing professional service while working in clients' homes and businesses

Applicants for these positions will ideally hold a QLD Electrical Licence or relevant electrical licence and a Restricted Refrigerant Handling Licence appropriate to the work being performed.

Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Technicians

These positions are suited to experienced refrigeration and air conditioning tradespeople and may include:

- Diagnosing faults and carrying out repairs on commercial refrigeration and air conditioning systems

- Planned preventative maintenance and servicing programs

- Installation and commissioning of HVAC and refrigeration systems

- Commercial refrigeration breakdowns and repairs

- Supporting commercial and industrial upgrade and replacement projects

- Working across cool rooms, freezer rooms and commercial refrigeration equipment

- Ensuring all work complies with WHS requirements, Australian Standards and industry regulations

- Providing professional customer service and technical advice on site

Late 2nd Year & 3rd Year Apprentices

We are also interested in hearing from apprentices who are well progressed through their Refrigeration and Air Conditioning trade and are looking to further develop their skills across the diverse sectors of our business. Applicants are to have a strong work ethic and are committed to building a long-term career in the industry.

What we're looking for

Depending on the position, applicants will have relevant qualifications, licences and experience including:

- Trade qualification in Air Conditioning & Refrigeration, demonstrated installation experience, or current enrolment in a Refrigeration and Air Conditioning apprenticeship

- ARCtick Refrigerant Handling Licence or relevant Restricted Refrigerant Handling Licence where applicable

- QLD Electrical Licence or Restricted Electrical Licence relevant to the position

- Current manual driver's licence

- Construction White Card

- Strong workmanship and attention to detail

- Positive communication skills and a professional work ethic

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Commitment to safe work practices

For refrigeration technician positions, proven fault-finding and diagnostic skills across commercial refrigeration and HVAC systems will be highly regarded, along with experience in areas such as VRV/VRF systems, marine refrigeration, chilled water, process cooling and large-scale commercial installations.
