Harrison McMillan is seeking experienced APS5 and APS6 Compliance and Investigations Officers to support compliance reviews, investigations, electoral funding assessments, and regulatory activities.

This is a long-term 12-month contract with one possible 6-month extension and is based in Canberra or Melbourne. Versatile working arrangements are available.

Due to the nature of this role, a Baseline security clearance is required.

Key Responsibilities:

- Review financial disclosure returns and assess compliance with legislative requirements.

- Support or undertake compliance reviews, assessments, and investigations.

- Analyse financial, intelligence, and regulatory information to identify risks and potential non-compliance.

- Prepare briefs, reports,



and recommendations to support decision-making.

- Apply risk-based approaches to compliance and investigations activities.

- Contribute to the integrity and transparency of Australia's electoral funding and disclosure framework.

Essential Criteria:

- Experience in compliance, investigations, audit, assurance, regulation, finance, or similar environments.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Ability to interpret legislation, policies, and complex information.

- Strong written and verbal communication skills.

- Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver high-quality outcomes.

Desirable Criteria:

- Certificate IV in Government Investigations (PSP40416) or willingness to obtain.

- Qualifications or experience in accounting, commerce, finance, investigations, compliance, audit, or regulation.

- Experience working within a regulatory or government environment.
