The Opportunity

Working as part of our Clients Production team based in Thomastown, you’ll play a hands-on role in bringing sign designs to life. From preparing materials through to final assembly, you’ll be involved in manufacturing a variety of civil, traffic and safety signage in line with Australian standards.

What you’ll be doing

- Operate a range of workshop machinery and fabrication equipment, including drop saws, CNC machines, benders, brake presses, Henrob riveting equipment, laminators, grinders and engraving equipment.

- Interpret engineering and fabrication drawings, checking dimensions, specifications and design files before commencing production.

- Manufacture products accurately and consistently, carrying out quality checks throughout the production process.

- Work closely with a small and supportive production team, pitching in across different tasks when required.

- Keep an eye on material usage and communicate stock or replenishment requirements to the Supply Chain Team Lead.

- Maintain accurate production paperwork, shift records and equipment maintenance logs.

- Contribute to a safe and organised workplace by participating in toolbox meetings, reporting hazards, wearing required PPE and maintaining good 3S housekeeping standards.

What we’re looking for





We’re looking for someone who takes pride in their work, works well as part of a team and is comfortable in a hands-on manufacturing environment.

You’ll ideally bring:

- At least 3 years’ experience in fabrication, manufacturing or a similar production environment.

- The ability to confidently read and understand technical drawings, including dimensions, tolerances and material requirements.

- Experience following established procedures and contributing to or preparing work instructions.

- Good written and numerical skills for completing production documentation and records.

- A robust focus on workplace safety, quality workmanship and reliability.

- The physical ability to perform manual handling duties, including lifting up to 20 kg, prolonged standing and repetitive work.

- Full Australian working rights.

Desirable experience

The following qualifications or experience would be highly regarded:

- Previous experience in sign manufacturing, sheet metal fabrication or a related trade.

- Experience operating CNC machinery, including nesting.

- Certificate III in Engineering (Fabrication Trade) or an equivalent trade qualification.
