As a multi-site medical receptionist , you will support our practices across Pimpama and Ormeau helping patients and working with GPs, nurses, allied health professionals to keep reception running smoothly.

Your work location will vary according to operational needs. You must be able to travel between our Pimpama and Ormeau practices and be flexible with your roster, including taking opening or closing shifts at short notice when required. This role would suit an experienced medical receptionist who is organised, empathetic and confident working independently and as part of a team.

Daily Operations

- Ensure reception areas are organised, clean, and operating efficiently
- Coordinate daily reception workflows, including opening and closing procedures
- Monitor appointment books and assist with GP and nurse scheduling
- Ensure operational standard compliance as per company policy
- Troubleshoot patient booking and administrative issues throughout the day
- Maintain a high standard of customer service for patients and visitors
- Assist with managing difficult patient interactions and complaints
- Maintain accurate patient records and uphold strict confidentiality standards
- Assist with Medicare, billing, and patient account enquiries
- Assist with Medicare billing and Assignment of Benefit (AOB) processes
- Monitor outstanding accounts, WorkCover, DVA and third-party billing
- Assist with daily banking, EFTPOS reconciliation, and debt recovery
- Ensure referrals, recalls, reminders,



and correspondence are processed promptly
- Perform general reception and administrative duties including inbox management, scanning, correspondence, and mail handling

About You

- Previous experience working as a medical receptionist in a general medical practice (essential)
- Experience using Best Practice software and HotDoc (essential)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities
- A calm, qualified approach to problem-solving and patient conflict
