Aesthetik Dental is looking for an enthusiastic and patient-focused Dental Assistant / Receptionist to join our team at our beautiful Geelong practice.
Located within Westfield Geelong , our practice provides a modern, premium environment where patient experience, clinical excellence and teamwork are at the centre of everything we do.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced Dental Assistant who wants to join a professional and supportive team, while also developing their skills across different areas of the practice.
About the role
Your primary responsibility will be dental assisting , supporting our clinicians in delivering exceptional patient care.
You will work alongside experienced dentists and oral health therapists and a supportive team in a modern cosmetic and general dental environment.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Chairside dental assisting across general and cosmetic procedures
- Preparing treatment rooms and ensuring instruments and equipment are ready
- Maintaining high standards of sterilisation and infection control
- Preparing rooms between patients and maintaining a high standard of presentation
- Assisting with clinical stock management
- Supporting a smooth and positive patient experience
- Working collaboratively with the wider practice team
- Assisting with record collection, reception and patient administration as required
As you become familiar with the practice, there will also be opportunities to develop your skills across reception, patient administration and extending into treatment coordination when required .
You do not need to be an experienced all-rounder to apply. If you are a strong Dental Assistant who is willing to learn,
training and support will be provided to help you develop additional skills across the practice.
About you
We are looking for someone who:
- Has previous experience as a Dental Assistant
- Ideally has 1-2+ years' experience in a dental practice, although we will consider the right candidate based on attitude and experience
- Is warm, friendly and professional with patients
- Takes pride in their clinical work and presentation
- Has excellent attention to detail
- Is organised and reliable
- Works well as part of a team
- Is comfortable working in a rapid-paced environment
- Has a positive, proactive attitude and a willingness to learn
- Is passionate about providing an excellent patient experience
- Reception, administration or treatment coordination experience is highly regarded, but is not essential. Training will be provided to the successful applicant.
