Night Auditor

Purpose AsNight Auditor, you will perform end of day accounting tasks in preparation for the next day’s trading while assisting guests with late night inquiries. When the rest of the hotel is asleep, the Night Auditor stands as the calm and composed point of contact for any situation.

Responsibilities

- Take charge of the reception desk duties and manage the crucial night audit process, ensuring that nightly reports are accurate and up to date
- Work closely with security to keep a watchful eye on the building's security systems, contributing to a safe and secure environment for guests and staff alike
- Assist the day team with their operations, ensuring a seamless guest experience that extends throughout the entire day and night
- Embrace the distinctive night shifts at our hotel, spanning from 11pm to 7am

Skills & Experience You will be an independent worker who can take initiative and excel without constant supervision Prior experience in Night Audit and/or Accounts and technical know-how to efficiently handle the nightly audit of all hotel transactions is highly beneficial Quick-thinking problem solver, putting the guest's needs at the forefront, and taking pride in crafting and delivering memorable guest experiences Capable of embracing a flexible rotating schedule, including weekends and public holidays

Primary Duties

- Coordinate Front Office operations during shift and ensure adherence to all Standards and Procedures.
- Deal with problems and complaints received with the support of Duty Managers. Immediately act to restore guest satisfaction,



demonstrating Marriott Standards at all times. Ensure all incidents are communicated to the Manager on Duty.
- To notify and assist in investigations in all matters pertaining to safety and security
- Timely dissemination of information throughout the entire Front Office Department. In addition to this, any information relevant to the operations of the resort in general is to be communicated to the Resort Operations Manager or General Manager.
- Show due care of all equipment, report any maintenance issues and log accordingly.
- Liaise with Housekeeping & Engineering Departments to ensure adequate rooms are available for arrivals.
- Ensure Hotel credit policies are complied with.
- Encourage selling of Hotel’s outlets and facilities.
- Be proactive in observing operational needs across the Hotel, enlisting staff from other departments to assist in areas where business demands are higher.
- Experience with OPERA preferred.
- Facilitate repeat business through guest satisfaction.
- Ensure that your work area is kept clean at all times.
- Show due care of all equipment, report maintenance issues to supervisor.
- Report and/or take action on any equipment breakdown or safety issue relevant to your work area.
- To attend work on time,



ensuring that you are at your workstation in line with your rostered shift requirement.
- Follow the direction of your Manager and undertake duties as requested.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Education: High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
- Related Work Experience: Less than 1-year related work experience.
- Supervisory Experience: No supervisory experience.
- License or Certification: None
