Your next career opportunity In this role, you will support students seeking financial assistance and coordinate arrival services for new students. You will process interest-free loans and hardship grants, manage student enquiries, and connect students with wider wellbeing support. You will also contribute to service redesign and continuous improvement in a collaborative and supportive team.
What you will deliver:
- Assess student loan and hardship grant applications, ensuring accurate eligibility decisions and timely processing of payments.
- Engage directly with students via appointments and enquiries, triaging cases, escalating appropriately, and referring to specialist services.
- Oversee day-to-day delivery of arrival services, liaising with external contractors and stakeholders to ensure smooth operations.
- Maintain accurate service information and templates across channels, including Teams, OneCRM and student-facing web content.
- Contribute to service improvement initiatives, supporting digital uplifts, process redesigns, and reviews that enhance student experience.
You may be a great fit if you:
- Hold a tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline, or equivalent education and experience in student services.
- Demonstrate experience in university student services or lending environments,
working with financial hardship and wellbeing contexts.
- Manage time-critical workloads and competing demands with robust organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Operate confidently within protocols, policies and compliance requirements, applying privacy and confidentiality in record-keeping.
- Use CRM systems such as Salesforce, plus Microsoft Teams, Word, Excel and Outlook in daily work.
- Contribute proactively to a small, collaborative team, adapting to service redesign and continuous improvement activities.

Your new team – Student and Scholarly Services
Student and Scholarly Services sits within Chancellery and provides end-to-end administration, wellbeing and scholarly support. Within this area, the Financial Aid team supports students through loans, hardship grants and coordinated arrival services. You will join a lean, positive team that values collaboration, flexibility, innovation and enhancing the student experience.
