Process & Operations Specialist | Port Macquarie | 3-6 month Day Rate Contract

GWG Recruitment is partnering with a well‑established organisation in Port Macquarie to recruit a Process & Operations Specialist for an initial contract of up to 6 months.

This is a hands‑on role supporting a significant operational improvement project focused on reviewing and streamlining processes to create better outcomes for both employees and customers.

We’re not necessarily looking for a traditional Change Manager. Instead, we’re looking for a practical “doer” - someone who can understand how things work on the ground, identify what could work better and bring the right people together to make it happen.

About the role

Working closely with senior leaders and frontline teams, you will:

- Review existing operational processes and identify opportunities for improvement
- Work directly with frontline employees to understand challenges and pain points
- Bring stakeholders together to develop practical solutions and improved ways of working
- Help develop and document new processes where required




- Drive implementation and ensure agreed changes are brought to life
- Manage priorities, actions and timelines to keep the project moving
- Engage confidently with senior leaders and help drive timely decisions
- Navigate challenges or resistance while maintaining strong relationships

About you

Your background could be in operations, business/process improvement, project delivery, transformation or change . Formal change management qualifications aren't essential.

More importantly, you'll be someone who:

- Has strong operational and problem‑solving capability
- Is proactive and comfortable taking ownership
- Can build strong relationships from frontline teams through to executives
- Is curious, adaptable and comfortable working through ambiguity
- Can balance empathy and collaboration with a genuine sense of urgency
- Enjoys implementing solutions rather than simply recommending them
- Has robust communication, organisation and stakeholder engagement skills

This role will require 2–3 days per week in the Port Macquarie office
