Western District Health Service is seeking enthusiastic and compassionate Speech Pathologists (Grade 1 / Grade 2) to join our growing Primary and Preventative Health team.
This is an exciting opportunity to enjoy a diverse and rewarding caseload while working within a supportive multidisciplinary environment. You'll have the opportunity to work across acute, subacute, community and aged care services, supporting individuals across all stages of life with communication and swallowing needs.

What You'll Be Doing
Clinical Assessment & Intervention
Assess and manage communication and swallowing disorders, providing evidence-based interventions that support positive outcomes for clients and their families.
Diverse Caseload
Deliver Speech Pathology services across acute, subacute, community and aged care settings, developing broad clinical skills and experience.
Multidisciplinary Collaboration
Work closely with nursing, medical, allied health and community providers to deliver coordinated, person-centred care.
Education & Community Engagement
Provide education and training to staff, carers and community groups while promoting awareness of communication and swallowing disorders throughout the region.
Quality Improvement & Professional Development
Participate in supervision, reflective practice, quality improvement activities and ongoing career development opportunities.
Support staff and student learning through supervision, mentoring and professional role modelling, as appropriate.
What You Bring
- Tertiary qualification in Speech Pathology
- Eligibility for membership with Speech Pathology Australia
- Experience working with children
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to person-centred and evidence-based care
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
- Commitment to ongoing learning and professional development
- Current Driver's Licence
- NDIS Worker Screening Check, Working with Children Check and Police Check (or willingness to obtain)
- Rights to work in Australia
- Training in literacy programs such as Sounds Write
- Experience with the Lidcombe Program for stuttering
- Experience with Hanen "It Takes Two to Talk"
- Previous experience across community, acute or aged care settings
