Kobu Electrical is looking for a reliable A-Grade Electrician to join our team, working across commercial and residential projects throughout Melbourne.
Our work includes school upgrades, office fit-outs, switchboard upgrades and electrical maintenance. This is a varied, hands-on role suited to someone who takes pride in their work and can work independently or alongside a team.

Your responsibilities will include:
- Electrical rough-in and fit-off for commercial projects.
- Installing lighting, power, data cabling and cable containment.
- Switchboard replacements, upgrades and circuit alterations.
- Fault finding, maintenance and electrical defect rectification.
- Disconnecting and reinstating electrical services during building and renovation works.
- Testing, commissioning and completing job documentation.
- Reading plans, organising materials and coordinating with builders and other trades.
- Supporting and supervising apprentices as required.
We're looking for someone with:
- A current Victorian A-Grade electrical licence and driver's licence.
- A Construction White Card.
- Experience in commercial and residential electrical work.
- Valuable communication, attention to detail and a practical approach to solving problems.
- The ability to manage day-to-day tasks and maintain a safe, tidy worksite.
- A Working with Children Check, or willingness to obtain one for school projects.
You'll work directly with the manager across a variety of projects, with the opportunity to take on greater responsibility as the business grows. Occasional weekend or after-hours work may be required for school works and planned shutdowns.
