Garwood Tree Services is a rapidly growing arboricultural company delivering professional tree management and vegetation services across South East Queensland and regional areas.

We work across residential,local government, civil, commercial and private projects, with our services and project capabilities continuing to expand.

Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Climbing Arborist / EWP Operator to join our team.

The successful applicant will commence on a casual basis with consistent full-time hours, with the opportunity to transition into permanent employment. For the right person, there are also opportunities to take on greater responsibility and progress within the business as we continue to grow.

About the Role

- Tree pruning and removals
- Climbing and rigging operations
- EWP operations
- Council and local government works
- Large commercial and civil projects
- Private residential tree works
- Vegetation management and larger-scale clearing
- Machinery and equipment operation

With the variety of projects we undertake, no two days are the same. As Garwood Tree Services continues to expand, there are opportunities to work on larger projects and regional jobs.

What We're Looking For

Essential:

- Minimum 3-4 years' professional experience in the arboriculture industry
- Demonstrated climbing experience OR strong EWP/arboricultural experience
- Minimum MR Licence (HR Licence highly regarded)
- Australian working rights
- Strong understanding of safe work practices
- Reliable, punctual and physically capable of working outdoors
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Willingness to work away from home for regional projects when required

Highly regarded:

- Certificate III in Arboriculture




- Current EWP competency/licence
- HR Licence
- Chainsaw qualifications/tickets
- Experience with rigging and advanced climbing
- Experience operating excavators, skid steers, loaders or other machinery
- Experience working on council, civil or commercial projects
- Previous Leading Hand or crew leadership experience
