The Opportunity
WSP's Adelaide Mining team is growing, and we're looking for a Project Engineer who is ready to take the next step in their career.
If you've built a strong foundation in engineering design and are looking to broaden your experience into project delivery, package management and client-facing work, this role offers the perfect pathway.
You'll move beyond producing designs and gain exposure to the commercial, technical and delivery aspects of projects, working alongside experienced Project Managers and multidisciplinary teams on a diverse portfolio of mining and infrastructure projects.
What You'll Be Doing
- Support the successful delivery of mining and infrastructure projects from concept through to execution.
- Take ownership of work packages, managing scope, schedule, deliverables and stakeholder expectations.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering teams to achieve high-quality project outcomes.
- Work closely with Project Managers to monitor progress, risks, budgets and project performance.
- Build strong relationships with clients, contractors and internal stakeholders.
- Contribute to technical reviews, project planning and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Develop your project management capability while maintaining your technical engineering foundation.
About You
- Experience as a Mechanical, Civil, Structural or similar engineering professional.
- Exposure to mining,
minerals processing, heavy industry or infrastructure projects.
- A genuine interest in transitioning into project delivery and project management.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- The ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining quality outcomes.
- A practical, solutions-focused approach and a desire to keep learning and developing.

The Opportunity
As the Project Engineer at Built you will manage, control, and deliver projects on and off site, within time, quality, cost parameters and stakeholder relationships.
You will perform overall technical coordination of the construction process, in conjunction with senior project management teams through the coordination and documentation of design and programme requirements.
Here’s what a typical day might look like for you:
- Prepare applicable cost reports (with the CA).
- Design management and review of design against the project budget.
- Managing subcontract conditions (as applicable) including responsibility for timely procurement of trades.
- Assist in managing and statusing the target programmes and issue programme reports to Senior Project Engineer or Project Manager (as required).
- Support Senior Project Engineer / Project Manager in determining project specific risks, goals, and opportunities.
In this role you will provide a link between design, building services and sub‑contractors to ensure project objectives are met.
