The Associate Analytics Consultant at NSW Treasury builds Power BI dashboards and strategic procurement intelligence. Working within the Data & Analytics Division of the Procurement Reform and Banking Group, you will support teams across Treasury and other agencies. Requests include business improvements and reporting on Ministerial priorities, so the analysis needs to answer a clear question and reach the people who will use it.

The ongoing Clerk Grade 5/6 position is based in Sydney CBD, with adaptable working options available. Applications close at 9:59am on 15 October 2026.

Remuneration: Clerk Grade 5/6, $102,936 to $113,579 plus superannuation and leave loading.

Eligibility and essential role requirements

- Australian or New Zealand citizenship, or Australian permanent residency, for ongoing employment
- Background checks and confirmation of tertiary academic qualifications before commencement

Evidence areas

- End-to-end Power BI delivery: Describe ETL processes, DAX formulas, dashboard design and user acceptance tests within a dashboard you built, implemented and maintained.
- Automation tools: Explain how Power Automate,



Power Apps or a similar tool improved an analytical workflow and how you checked the result.
- Analytics delivery across a devolved organisation: Show how you worked with stakeholders whose responsibilities or data needs differed and agreed a useful approach.
- Financial or procurement data: Use relevant datasets to explain a business decision, including how you understood definitions and checked the figures.
- Initiative and continuous improvement: Describe an improvement you proposed, how you tested it and the effect on the team’s work.
- Microsoft Office skills: Mention the applications used in relevant analysis or reporting and support the claim with work evidence.
