About the role
Reporting to the Podiatry Manager, this role is responsible to ensure an efficient, comprehensive, patient and consumer-oriented administrative service to the Podiatry Department at Flinders Medical Centre.
Duties
- Commitment to delivering high-quality and safe care consistent with the SALHN Integrated Governance Framework and Consumer Engagement Framework, and Plan.
- The frontline management of patients, visitors, medical nursing, and allied health staff in the Department Provide an efficient keyboard service, using current SA Health software packages Coordinate appointments at the central referral hub for all SALHN podiatry referrals across sites Receiving and directing patients to ensure that they are afforded professional, courteous, positive, and timely hospitality at all times.
About you
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, professionally and courteously with all internal and external consumers
- Ability to liaise and relate well with empathy to a variety of people, including elderly and disabled clients, and to handle enquiries from a range of staff, patients, and visitors
- The ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision and to prioritise work to meet deadlines,
manage tasks simultaneously whilst working with a high level of accuracy and detail
- Proven experience in basic computing skills, including email and word processing
- Experience in the use of patient appointment-making systems and the Microsoft Office suite
