Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Data Analyst to join our team in Melbourne. The ideal candidate will have a strong focus on data analysis, with the ability to investigate data issues, identify root causes, and propose effective solutions. This role requires a blend of data analysis and business analysis skills, enabling the candidate to develop insightful reports and dashboards that meet both business and regulatory needs.

Responsibilities

- Analyze and interpret complex datasets from multiple sources to derive actionable insights.
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to support business and regulatory requirements.
- Write and optimize SQL queries for data extraction, validation, and reporting.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and understand reporting and analytics requirements.
- Ensure data quality, accuracy, and consistency across all datasets.
- Support initiatives related to risk management, compliance, customer insights, and financial reporting.




- Work closely with data engineers and architects to design and implement data models and pipelines.

Mandatory Skills

- 4 7 years of experience as a Data Analyst.
- Solid SQL skills and experience with relational databases.
- Proficiency in BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Qlik.
- Exposure to financial services, banking, or insurance data.
- Excellent analytical, problem solving, and communication skills.
- Understanding of data governance and regulatory reporting requirements.

Preferred Skills

- Experience with cloud data platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Snowflake.
- Knowledge of programming languages such as Python or R for data analysis.
- Experience with APRA/ASIC reporting or risk data management.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred. Relevant certifications in data analysis or business intelligence are a plus.
