Dynamic Staffing Solutions is continuing to recruit experienced Australian Government Authorized Officers (AAOs) for their growing operations.
About the Role
We are currently seeking an experienced Australian Government Authorized Officer (AAO) to join a busy meat processing operation on a full-time, Monday to Friday basis.
Working as part of the Quality Assurance team, you will play an important role in maintaining meat safety, quality and regulatory compliance throughout the processing operation.
The position will involve performing ante-mortem and post-mortem inspection of small stock, while supporting the implementation and maintenance of quality assurance and quality control systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct ante-mortem and post-mortem inspection of small stock in accordance with Australian meat inspection requirements and relevant guidelines.
- Monitor processing activities and finished products to ensure compliance with company, regulatory and customer meat safety standards.
- Assist with the implementation and maintenance of food safety, quality assurance and quality control systems.
- Identify and report any issues relating to animal health, meat safety, product quality or regulatory compliance.
- Maintain accurate inspection and compliance records.
- Work closely with production and quality teams to ensure required standards are consistently maintained.
- Perform other quality assurance and inspection duties as required.
About You
We are looking for someone who is experienced, reliable and confident working within a regulated meat processing environment.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Current Australian Government Authorised Officer (AAO) accreditation.
- Relevant experience in Meat Science, Food Science, Food Technology or a related discipline.
- Strong understanding of meat processing, HACCP principles and quality management systems.
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to identify and address quality and compliance issues.
- A proactive approach with the ability to work independently and take initiative.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with production and quality teams.
- A strong commitment to food safety, animal welfare and regulatory compliance.
- Flexibility to work early morning starts and overtime when required.
