We are seeking an experienced and customer-focused Service Advisor - Automotive to join the team at RINGWOOD GWM in Ringwood, Victoria. This is a full time position based on-site at our service centre. As a Service Advisor, you will be the vital link between our customers and our service department, ensuring every vehicle receives expert care whilst maintaining the highest standards of customer satisfaction. This role is essential to our business, as you will directly influence customer retention, revenue generation, and the already built reputation of our Service Centre.

Key responsibilities

- Greeting customers and understanding their vehicle service requirements and concerns
- Providing expert advice on vehicle maintenance, repairs and service options
- Writing accurate service estimates and obtaining customer authorisation
- Liaising between customers and the service department to ensure work is completed to specification
- Scheduling service appointments and managing the booking system efficiently
- Processing invoices and handling customer payments
- Following up with customers post-service to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns
- Maintaining detailed service records and vehicle history documentation
- Promoting manufacturer warranty and service packages to customers
- Contributing to workshop efficiency by managing workflow and communication

What we're looking for

- Proven experience as a Service Advisor or similar customer-facing role in the automotive industry
- Strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance, repair processes and automotive terminology
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to explain technical information in simple terms




- Professional presentation and demeanour when dealing with customers
- Proficiency in computer systems and service management software
- Ability to multitask and manage multiple customer inquiries simultaneously
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Customer-first mindset with a commitment to delivering exceptional service
- Attention to detail and accuracy when processing paperwork and service records
- A current driver's licence and willingness to occasionally move customer vehicles as required
- Preferably, knowledge of GWM vehicle models and dealership systems would be advantageous
