Our Family Law team is growing, and we are looking for an experienced Family Law Lawyer with 3–5 years’ PAE who is ready to take ownership of their matters and become an integral part of our growing team.

This is an opportunity for a confident and capable lawyer to step into an established caseload, take responsibility for matters from commencement through to resolution, and continue to develop their career within a supportive and professional workplace.

What You’ll Do

- Manage your own diverse family law caseload from commencement through to resolution.

- Take over an existing portfolio of matters, while also managing new client enquiries and files.

- Handle parenting, property settlement, financial and relationship breakdown matters.

- Prepare correspondence, legal advice, court documents and other relevant documentation to a high qualified standard.

- Advise and represent clients in negotiations, mediations and court proceedings.

- Develop practical and commercially sensible strategies to achieve the best possible outcomes for clients.

- Build and maintain strong, trusted relationships with clients.

- Take ownership of your matters and keep clients informed throughout the conduct of their files.

- Work collaboratively with colleagues across the firm on complex and high-value matters.

- Contribute to the continued growth and development of our Family Law practice.

What We’re Looking For

- An Australian-admitted solicitor,



eligible to practise in Victoria.

- 3–5 years’ PAE, with solid experience in Family Law.

- Proven ability to independently manage family law matters from start to finish.

- Strong experience across parenting and property matters.

- Experience appearing in, or assisting with, Family Law Court proceedings.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

- Confident negotiation, advocacy and problem-solving skills.

- A professional, articulate and confident manner when dealing with clients, barristers and other practitioners.

- Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities.

- A genuine client focus and sound commercial judgment.

- Strong organisational skills and the ability to work autonomously.

- Someone who takes ownership of their work, demonstrates initiative and is comfortable being accountable for their matters.

- A willingness to contribute positively to the broader team and firm.
