Established in 2017, Housing Hub was created to help people with disability find suitable, quality housing and support the development of an effective disability housing market. Originally an initiative of the Summer Foundation, we now operate as a social enterprise.
With thousands of properties listed across Australia, Housing Hub connects housing seekers and housing providers, making it easier for people with disability to find the right home and have choice and control over where they live and who they live with.
About the Role
Are you a commercial, vision-driven marketing leader looking to channel your skills into high-impact social change?
As our Senior Marketing Manager , you will step into a pivotal role, setting the strategic, creative, and commercial direction for our marketing and events function. You will lead a lean, capable team (2 direct reports, 6 indirect reports) and chart the growth course that drives both market share and social outcomes.
We are looking for an authentic leader who can define the strategy, guide in-house execution, and act as a true growth partner across the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and execute the overarching marketing strategy aligned with the Housing Hub’s broader commercial and social mission.
- Translate the organisation’s strategic growth goals into marketing plans, and make the case for the budget and capability needed to achieve them
- Develop and own integrated marketing and campaign strategies aligned to organisational growth objectives including but not limited to:
increasing market share of SDA and SIL NDIS participants
- Lead strategic go-to-market planning across campaigns, products, services and audience segments with specific attention to and early priority on building the seeker audience
- Drive creative strategy, messaging and strategic initiative planning across campaigns, content, digital and eventsOwn marketing’s contribution to reach, engagement and revenue targets across the growth funnel, and define the quarterly marketing deliverables that support Growth and Sales targets
- Uncover market opportunities, analyze audience behaviors, and frame business challenges into actionable strategic initiatives.
- Set high standards for brand storytelling, campaign creative, and commercial performance to ensure sustainable growth.
- Lead audience engagement across digital, content and events to strengthen awareness and experience
- Be directly active in market by connecting with representatives from each of our core audiences on a regular basis
- Own the digital acquisition journey end to end, and oversee public-facing digital journeys and experience optimisation, in partnership with Product and AMI
- Directly manage 2 direct reports and guide indirect team members, fostering a collaborative, high-performing team culture.
- Partner closely with executive leadership, operational leadership and all teams across the business to drive integrated marketing outcomes.
- Monitor campaign performance, engagement and audience response, and report on the marketing contribution to growth
- Own closed-loop reporting from first marketing touch to sales conversion,
tracking marketing’s contribution to pipeline and revenue through Salesforce and attribution, in partnership with AMI and Business Development
- Provide strategic oversight of the marketing technology stack and its integration with Salesforce, ensuring the tools, data and automation needed to run and measure growth marketing
What Success Looks Like (First 12–18 Months)
- Marketing is embedded as a proactive strategic partner rather than just a delivery function.
- Deep, cross-functional collaboration exists between Marketing and Events, Business Development, and Product.
- Clear audience insights consistently inform campaign design, product decisions, and commercial strategy.
About You
- Proven Strategic Acumen: Strong experience designing and scaling growth-focused marketing strategies in commercial or social enterprise environments.
- Commercial & Purpose Mindset: Ability to balance revenue goals with authentic, mission-aligned messaging.
- Hands-on Strategic Leadership: A track record of leading, mentoring, and developing teams without relying heavily on external agency hand-offs.
- Data-Informed Decision Maker: Comfortable leveraging Marketing Tech (Salesforce, attribution tools) to analyze trends and drive measurable growth.
- Mission Alignment: A genuine commitment to disability advocacy and social enterprise principles.
