The Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water in the Conservation Programs, Heritage and Regulation Group Division is seeking to appoint an Administration Support Officer. In this role, you will provide a diverse range of administrative and business support services that contribute to the efficient day-to-day operations of the branch. You will play an important role in maintaining administration systems, supporting communication and information flow, coordinating records management activities, and delivering a high-quality customer service experience to both internal and external stakeholders.

Working within a collaborative team environment, you will assist with financial administration, records management, correspondence, reporting, meeting coordination, and responding to enquiries. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly organised professional who enjoys providing effective business support and contributing to meaningful environmental outcomes for NSW.

About You

You are an experienced administrative professional with solid organisational skills and a proactive approach to supporting business operations. You can manage competing priorities, maintain accurate records, and deliver high-quality administrative services in line with established procedures and service standards.



You have sound attention to detail and are comfortable working independently while supporting a diverse range of stakeholders.

You are a confident communicator with excellent customer service skills and the ability to build effective working relationships. You can prepare correspondence, reports and documentation, manage information sensitively and professionally, and use technology and business systems effectively to improve efficiency. You are adaptable, solutions-focused and committed to delivering quality outcomes in a busy operational environment.

Key knowledge and experience

- Demonstrated experience in office administration.
- Experience using computer-based systems and records management systems.
- Knowledge of financial and human resource management procedures, policies and practices.
- Experience providing high-quality administrative support and managing multiple priorities.
- Strong communication and customer service skills, with the ability to respond effectively to a range of enquiries.
- Ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders and contribute to continuous improvement of administrative processes.
