Your opportunity As an Occupational Therapist, you'll work as part of a multidisciplinary Allied Health team, delivering person-centred assessments, interventions and education programs across our Wellness Centres, clients' homes and ECH Independent Living Units.
You'll assess individual capabilities, develop tailored treatment strategies and provide practical recommendations that support clients to maintain independence, enhance safety and achieve meaningful outcomes. Through evidence-based practice and a holistic approach, you'll help older people live confidently and independently in their chosen environment.
You’ll make an impact by
- Conducting comprehensive occupational therapy assessments and developing tailored treatment plans that support clients to achieve meaningful goals.
- Delivering evidence-based occupational therapy interventions, education and health behaviour change programs in individual and group settings.
- Assessing home environments and recommending equipment, assistive technology and home modifications to enhance safety and independence.
- Empowering clients to maintain independence and wellbeing through person-centred care, advocacy and health promotion initiatives.
- Collaborating with Allied Health professionals to deliver holistic care and contribute to continuous improvement and quality outcomes.
What you’ll bring To succeed in this role, you'll ideally have:
- A Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy (or equivalent).
- Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- A current National Police Check (or willingness to obtain one).
- A current driver's licence and the ability to travel between client locations.
We would also love you to bring the following skills:
- Experience delivering occupational therapy services within community health, aged care, rehabilitation or similar settings.
- Experience conducting home safety assessments and recommending equipment, assistive technology and home modifications.
- Strong assessment, clinical reasoning and treatment planning skills.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
