About the Opportunity

We are seeking a Diploma Qualified Early Childhood Educator who is motivated, enthusiastic and passionate about making a positive difference in the lives of young children and their families.

Based in the coastal town of Portland in Victoria’s Southwest, this full-time position offers the opportunity to join a welcoming, supportive and fast-paced team environment. You will be part of a dedicated team committed to providing high-quality care, education and support to children and families within our community.

The Karreeta Peeneeyt Mara Portland Child and Family Complex is a purpose-built facility providing both Long Day Care and Kindergarten programs. We are committed to creating a nurturing, inclusive and supportive environment where children, families and educators can thrive.

What you need to Succeed

- A Diploma in Education and Care.
- Current First Aid qualification HLTAID012.
- National Child Safety training.
- Knowledge of the National Quality Framework and an understanding of how this this reflects on daily practice.




- Demonstrated experience working with children and families.
- Experience in assisting in the development and implementation of an educational program.
- A genuine understanding of and a desire to work with children aged 0 through to kindergarten age.

- A positive outlook and team approach.
- Effective communication skills and a demonstrated ability to work flexibly and collaboratively with all staff.
- Ability to manage risks and identify health and safety issues pertaining to workplace.
