The Finance Manager – Group IT plays a key role in partnering with IT senior leaders to provide financial insight, governance and decision support across IT operations, projects and investments.
Reporting to the FP&A; Manager, the role works directly with the CIO, IT General Managers and senior stakeholders to translate financial performance, cost drivers and investment impacts into clear insights.
The Finance Manager ensures IT operating and capital expenditure is accurately reported, well governed and aligned to business priorities, while leading and supporting two offshore team members.
The Chance
Reporting to the FP&A; Manager, the Finance Manager – Group IT will partner with the CIO, IT General Managers and senior stakeholders to support sound financial management and informed decision making across EBOS IT. This senior role leads budgeting, forecasting and month-end reporting across IT operating and capital expenditure, monitors cost drivers and investment performance, maintains recharge and allocation models, and strengthens financial governance. You will also provide direction, oversight and escalation support to a Finance Analyst and Senior Finance Analyst based offshore.
What You Will Do
- Lead budgeting, forecasting and month-end reporting across IT cost centres, operating expenditure and capital expenditure, ensuring accuracy, timeliness and transparency.
- Analyse IT cost drivers, variances and trends, providing clear insights and recommendations to support cost control, optimisation and informed decision making.
- Evaluate IT projects and initiatives through business cases,
investment prioritisation and benefits analysis.
- Maintain IT recharge models and cost allocations in line with agreed methodologies, Group Finance policies and governance standards.
- Partner with IT leaders, the Project Management Office, Vendor Management, Accounts Payable and Group Finance to align project delivery, resolve coding issues and ensure accurate classification, allocation and reporting of IT costs.
- Provide direction, oversight and escalation support to the IT finance team while engaging senior stakeholders on financial performance, risks, opportunities and forecast assumptions.
What We Are Looking For
- A tertiary qualification in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, Business or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 10 years’ demonstrated experience in financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting and management reporting.
- Experience managing operating and capital expenditure, including accruals, variance analysis and financial reporting, within a structured financial control and governance environment.
- Strong analytical capability, financial modelling and Excel skills, with experience using financial or ERP systems and translating complex information into clear insights.
- Proven ability to partner with non-finance and senior stakeholders in a professional services, IT or project-based environment, influence without authority and challenge assumptions appropriately.
- Experience in an IT, technology, digital or project portfolio environment, project financial management, recharge models or a large complex organisation will be highly regarded.

- IT operating and capital expenditure is accurately reported, transparently managed and aligned to business priorities.
- Senior IT stakeholders receive clear, commercially sound insights and recommendations on performance, cost drivers, risks, opportunities and investment decisions.
- Recharge models, coding governance, allocations and project financial reporting are accurate, consistent and aligned with Group Finance standards.
- Financial issues are identified and resolved proactively, commitments are followed through, sensitive information is handled appropriately and the IT finance team receives effective direction and support.
