Macquarie Hospital, North Ryde
What you'll be doing
Provide psychological assessment, formulation and intervention for adults admitted to a specialist inpatient mental health service. The role includes cognitive and psychometric assessment, behaviour support planning, individual and group interventions, risk assessment and transition planning,
with opportunities to contribute to service development, supervision, education and research activities.
People of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background are encouraged to apply.
Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:
1. Full general AHPRA registration as a Psychologist and is either endorsed within their area of practice or able to progress through the registrar program, with a minimum two-year full-time equivalent postgraduate Master's degree or higher in Clinical Psychology, Clinical Neuropsychology, or Forensic Psychology.
2. Describe your experience providing psychological assessment and evidence-based interventions for adults with complex mental health presentations, including behavioural challenges and/or cognitive impairment. Please include examples of the therapeutic modalities you have used in your practice.
3. Provide an example of how you have worked effectively and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to support assessment, therapeutic engagement, risk management, and transition planning for consumers with complex needs.
