Adsteel Constructions is a family-owned steel fixing company with over 30 years of experience across the civil, industrial, commercial and residential construction sectors.

We have ongoing projects across Brisbane and are looking for reliable, hard-working Construction Labourers and Steel Fixers to join our growing team.

We are particularly interested in construction or concrete labourers with some experience handling mesh, reo or reinforcement, who are keen to develop their steel fixing skills and build a long-term career within the industry.

Experienced Steel Fixers are also encouraged to apply. We are always looking for good steel fixers to join our team.

The Role

Our projects range from large commercial and high-rise developments to warehouse slabs and residential construction.

Depending on your experience, your role may include:

- Carrying and distributing reinforcement steel and mesh

- Laying and fixing reinforcement

- Cutting and bending reo

- Tying reinforcement

- Preparing slabs for concrete

- Reading basic plans and reinforcement details

- General steel fixing and construction duties

- Working as part of a team to achieve daily production targets

Previous experience as a concrete labourer, civil labourer, construction labourer or steel fixer is highly regarded, particularly experience handling and laying mesh or reinforcement.

- Are comfortable handling heavy reinforcement and mesh

Career Progression

We are interested in people who want to develop their skills and progress within the company.

For the right people, there are opportunities to progress from Construction Labourer → Steel Fixer → Leading Hand → Foreman,



based on experience, performance, capability and attitude.

Requirements

- Construction Induction Card (White/Blue Card)

- Steel cap boots, hard hat and long pants

- Reliable transport to Brisbane job sites

- Full Australian working rights (No sponsorship opportunities, sorry!)

- Physically capable of performing manual construction work

- Previous construction, concreting, civil or steel fixing experience preferred

Tools: Experienced steel fixers are expected to have their own nips, reel, belt and tape.

Labourers who progress into steel fixing duties will be expected to purchase their own basic steel fixing tools within their first two weeks of employment, where they are considered suitable for the role.

Where We Work

We have projects across Brisbane and surrounding suburbs, including the Inner City, North, South, East, West and Bayside areas, as well as the Port of Brisbane and Western Corridor

We currently do not have Gold Coast work.

Projects include commercial, industrial, residential developments and large-scale construction sites.
