About the role

Tabulec Switchboards is seeking an experienced Switchboard Technician to join our growing manufacturing team in Wetherill Park, NSW. As a Switchboard Technician, you will be responsible for building high-quality electrical switchboards to detailed engineering drawings and specifications, ensuring all products meet customer requirements, Australian Standards, and our quality expectations. Working closely with project managers, engineers, and other workshop personnel, you will contribute directly to the successful delivery of projects across a wide range of industries. This role is critical to our business, as it directly impacts product quality, safety, customer satisfaction, and on-time project delivery.

Key responsibilities

- Assemble and manufacture electrical switchboards, motor control centres (MCCs), distribution boards, and power distribution equipment.

- Install and terminate electrical wiring, busbar systems, electrical components, and control devices.

- Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, general arrangement drawings, and technical specifications.

- Conduct testing, fault-finding, and quality inspections to ensure compliance with project requirements and Australian Standards.

- Perform mechanical assembly and fit-out of switchboard enclosures and associated equipment.

- Work collaboratively with engineers, project managers, and workshop personnel to achieve project deadlines and quality objectives.

- Maintain a safe and clean working environment in accordance with company policies and WHS requirements.

- Ensure all work is completed to a high standard and complies with company quality procedures.

- Assist with site installation, commissioning,



and modifications when required.

About you

- Trade qualified Electrical Fitter, Electrician, or equivalent electrical trade qualification preferred.

- Proven experience in the manufacture, assembly, and wiring of electrical switchboards and distribution boards.

- Strong ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams.

- Experience working in a workshop environment, working with power tools and workshop equipment.

- High attention to detail and commitment to workmanship quality.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

- Current driver's license preferred.
