About The Role!
Working closely with the practice's Competition partner, you'll join a highly regarded Corporate & Commercial team with a genuine opportunity to build deep technical expertise across the full spectrum of competition and consumer law.
• Managing complex competition issues in transactions, including merger filings and regulator engagement
• Drafting key provisions in commercial agreements and engaging directly with clients
• Assessing competition risk in transactions and advising on practical strategies to manage it
• Assisting clients in responding to regulatory notices
• Advising on risk under Part IV of the Competition and Consumer Act and practical mitigation strategies
• Working collaboratively with the broader corporate and disputes teams on key documents and matters
• Developing client relationships and contributing to business development
• Mentoring junior colleagues
What You'll Bring!
- 5+ years PAE gained within a reputable Competition & Consumer practice
- Strong analytical, drafting and communication skills
- Experience advising on commercial, regulatory or competition-related matters
- The ability to deliver commercially astute and pragmatic legal advice
- Solid relationship management skills and a client-focused mindset
- A collaborative approach and a genuine interest in contributing to a growing practice
- The ability to work autonomously while mentoring and supporting junior team members
- A desire to build a long-term career within a leading national Corporate & Commercial team
