Our client is a national litigation firm that trusts its senior lawyers to run their own matters in the NSW and Federal courts. Its NSW team is looking for a Senior Litigation Lawyer with 5+ years' PQE, predominantly in litigation, who is confident running files with the support of senior leadership.

About the role

You will lead your own litigation matters and take carriage of the more complex files. You will:

- Run litigation matters end to end in the NSW courts, the Federal Court and tribunals, including NCAT
- Manage pleadings, evidence, interlocutory applications and hearings
- Advise clients on strategy, prospects and risk at each stage of a dispute
- Take carriage of insolvency, insurance and building and construction disputes as they arise
- Work with senior leadership on strategy for complex matters

What you'll bring

- 5+ years' PQE, predominantly in litigation
- Thorough knowledge of the practice and procedure of the NSW and Federal courts




- Hands-on experience managing and running litigation matters
- The confidence to run your own files with the support of senior leadership
- Admission to practise in Australia and a current practising certificate
- Favourable, not essential: experience in insolvency, insurance, building and construction, or general and commercial litigation
- Favourable: experience with disputes in the NSW Civil and Administrative Tribunal
