As a Transport Driver within the Supply Chain Branch, you’ll play a vital role in keeping essential linen, clinical and non-clinical supplies moving safely and efficiently across Queensland. Operating heavy vehicles across the Queensland Health network, you’ll provide reliable, professional and customer-focused transport services that directly support health facilities, staff and patients. You’ll be responsible for the safe loading, transportation and unloading of supplies between Queensland Health distribution centres, laundries and facilities across the state. With safety at the forefront, you’ll help maintain compliance with the Heavy Vehicle National Law (HVNL) and Chain of Responsibility requirements, while contributing to a positive safety culture and high standards of service.

The essential requirements for this role are;

- Demonstrated ability to safety and the ability to operate heavy vehicles in accordance with the HVNL, Chain of Responsibility obligations, workplace safe work practices and procedures, Queensland road rules, and have a satisfactory driving history.
- Physically fit and capable of undertaking the physical demands of the role including loading and unloading trolleys.
- Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills and provide professional and courteous customer service to clients.
- Ability and flexibility to work across multiple routes, locations and operational requirements, including in emergency or business continuity responses.
