Lead community mental health services through expert clinical and operational leadership, shaping strategy, developing the workforce and driving service improvement to deliver high-quality, evidence-informed care.
About the role
The Director of Community Services provides strategic, clinical and operational leadership to community mental health services within Metro North Mental Health – Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital. The role is responsible for supporting excellence in community-based care through expert leadership, service planning and professional advice, while overseeing the delivery of services across community mental health teams.
The successful candidate will provide leadership across service delivery, workforce management, quality and safety, financial and physical resources, and organisational change. Working closely with executive leaders, qualified leads and external stakeholders, the role will drive service improvement, support evidence-informed models of care and ensure community mental health services deliver high-quality outcomes for consumers.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
- Provide strategic and clinical leadership across community mental health services, including guidance on complex cases and models of care.
- Lead service improvement, organisational change and quality and safety initiatives across multiple community mental health teams.
- Oversee workforce planning, recruitment,
development and performance management to support effective service delivery.
- Provide strategic oversight of financial, human and physical resources while supporting effective service planning and budget management.
- Build strong partnerships with executive leaders, professional leads and external stakeholders to support integrated community mental health services.
