As an ICT & Security Consultant with Stantec, you will contribute to the design and delivery of Information Communications Technology (ICT), Security, and Audio-Visual projects across a diverse range of sectors. Working alongside experienced consultants and multidisciplinary teams, you will assist in developing practical, high-quality design solutions while continuing to grow your technical expertise.
In this role you can expect to:
· Work as part of a local and national ICT & Security consulting team on a diverse range of projects.
· Assist with the design and documentation of ICT, Security, and Audio-Visual systems.
· Support communications provider coordination (Telstra, NBN and other carriers) throughout project delivery.
· Contribute to the design of structured cabling systems, optical fibre networks, wireless systems, IPTV, audio-visual systems, Microsoft Teams Rooms, CCTV, electronic access control, intruder alarms, intercom and cybersecurity solutions.
· Participate in site inspections, investigations and condition assessments.
· Prepare technical reports, drawings and project documentation.
· Support proposal preparation and fee estimates.
· Build and maintain relationships with clients, contractors and industry partners.
· Continue developing professional and technical skills through training and industry engagement.
Essential Functions:
· Assist in the design and documentation of ICT and Security engineering systems, including drawings, specifications and technical reports.
· Perform calculations and technical assessments using company and manufacturer software tools.
· Support the evaluation and selection of ICT and Security equipment and systems.
· Develop design documentation, diagrams, sketches and electronic models under the guidance of senior team members.
· Coordinate with other engineering disciplines to ensure designs are integrated and aligned with project objectives.
· Prepare construction documentation, specifications, schedules and design reports.
· Review contractor submissions, shop drawings and technical queries.
· Participate in site inspections and contract administration activities.
· Identify technical issues and work with senior staff to develop solutions.
· Attend project meetings and contribute to project coordination activities.
· Assist with cost planning and value engineering exercises.
· Support project delivery while maintaining quality, budget and program objectives.
Education & Experience:
· Relevant tertiary qualification in ICT, Security, Communications, Networking, AV Technology, Engineering or a related field.
· 2-5 years' experience in ICT, Electronic Security, Audio-Visual or telecommunications consulting, design or delivery.
· 2-5 years’ experience in Project Managing the delivery of ICT or Electronic Security, Audio Visual or telecommunications services.
Licencing and Security Clearance Requirements:
· Applicants must hold, or be eligible to obtain a relevant state or territory Security Licence and an NV1 Australian Government Security Clearance
