About the role
The Project Support Officer role provides high-quality administrative and project support to ensure the effective and efficient delivery of programs, resources and initiatives for the School Leadership Institute. The responsibilities include:
- Coordinating complex logistics for face-to-face and online professional learning programs in a blended learning environment for up to 200 participants.
- Organising agendas, venues, catering, dietary requirements, travel arrangements, attendance records and distribution of program resources.
- Monitoring and maintaining project schedules to support the timely delivery of high-quality programs and resources.
- Ensuring project activities align with agreed objectives, including the Leadership Excellence Action Plan and NSW Plan for Public Education.
This role offers flexible working arrangements in line with Department policy, with an expectation of working two days per week from the State Office in Parramatta and three days per week from home. Additionally, the role also requires occasional overnight stays in Parramatta to support and attend the School Leadership Institute's face-to-face professional learning events.

About you -
- Demonstrated ability to use MS Power automate, Zoom Large meetings
- Experience delivering professional learning with large cohorts using online platforms (e.g. Zoom) including creating and managing multiple breakout rooms
- Ability to problem solve and trouble shoot technology issues while managing online professional learning.
- High-level skills in Excel for managing and presenting participant data and evaluation data
- High-level administrative skills to implement consistent, effective team processes and records management using tools such as MS Forms, Microsoft Outlook (mail merge),
MS Planner; liaise with suppliers; manage procurement requests, services agreements and invoices.
- Effective oral and written communication skills to interact with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders
- Knowledge of and commitment to implementing the Department’s Aboriginal Education Policy and upholding the Department’s Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people.

- Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or equivalent experience.
- Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the value of public education.
