ABOUT YOUR NEW ROLE:

In this rewarding opportunity you will join the St Vincent’s Private Hospital Melbourne (SVPHM) team as a Quality and Risk Consultant, working across all four Melbourne Private Campuses.

This role will be a fixed term secondment position 0.8EFT, until the 26th February 2027. It will be an ideal role for a Registered Nurse or Allied Health Qualified with a strong clinical background, experience with risk management in the acute healthcare setting, and a passion for continual improvement and excellent care.

The successful candidate will join a team of highly experienced, supportive and enthusiastic Quality and Risk Consultants. Specific skills training will be provided as required, along with ongoing support and mentoring.

Responsibilities will include (but will not be limited to):

- Facilitate timely reviews of clinical incidents and risks
- Co-ordinate and participate in root cause analyses, critical systems reviews, and complaint investigations
- Auditing and data collection
- Develop and support continuous improvement activities within the clinical areas
- Have an active leadership role in the NSQHS Standards committees, working parties, and accreditation based activities

ABOUT YOU:

The successful candidate will have:

- A strong clinical background in the acute healthcare setting
- Experience in incident and risk management, and implementation of quality improvement initiatives
- A demonstrated commitment to driving quality improvement and excellent patient care
- Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills, and experience working as part of an effective team
