Reporting to the Area Manager, you will act as the principal construction lead and second-in-command for field execution, overseeing the safe, efficient, and effective delivery of site-wide construction support services. **About the Role** As the Senior Construction Manager, you will provide strategic and operational leadership across a broad range of site services that enable successful construction, shutdown, commissioning, and operational readiness activities. You will work closely with construction teams, contractors, commissioning personnel, and operational stakeholders to ensure resources, equipment, and services are available when and where they are needed. Your ability to lead frontline teams, drive planning and execution excellence, and maintain an unwavering focus on safety and performance will be essential in delivering key project milestones.
**Key Responsibilities** + Lead the day-to-day execution of General Site Services across a major project environment. + Provide leadership and direction to Superintendents, Supervisors, and contractor partners. + Oversee site-wide support services including: + Scaffolding + Cranage and lifting operations + Industrial services + Temporary power + Survey services + Temporary facilities + Equipment management + Fuel distribution + Logistics and construction support services + Coordinate labour, equipment, materials, and contractor activities to support construction and commissioning requirements. + Identify, prioritise, and remove execution constraints to maximise productivity and schedule performance. + Drive daily, weekly, and shutdown planning activities aligned to project priorities and critical path objectives. + Champion a strong safety culture through visible leadership and proactive risk management. + Monitor contractor performance, workforce productivity, and execution quality across multiple work fronts. + Lead field-based problem solving and ensure timely resolution of operational challenges. + Support reporting requirements including safety, productivity, schedule, and execution readiness metrics. + Mentor and develop frontline leaders, building capability and succession strength within the team.
