About This Business n
Our business partner is a well‑established, privately owned engineering consultancy with a growing Gold Coast presence , operating as part of a national engineering group.
n
They provide integrated geotechnical, civil, structural and construction materials testing services across residential, commercial and infrastructure projects and are known for their hands‑on leadership, strong technical mentorship, and collaborative culture .
n
The business offers clients the opportunity to work closely with senior practitioners while building meaningful, long‑term relationships with business partners.
The Role n
This is an excellent opportunity for a Geotechnical Engineer , from early‑career through to approximately 6–8 years experience , to join a growing Gold Coast team.
n
The role offers a balanced mix of fieldwork, technical reporting, project delivery, and business partner engagement . Youll work across a diverse portfolio of projects while being supported by experienced senior engineers and a broader national technical network.
n

Key Responsibilities n
n
- Conduct and supervise geotechnical site investigations
n
- Borehole, test pit and DCP logging, including groundwater observations
n
- Prepare high‑quality factual and interpretive geotechnical reports
n
- Provide construction verification support for foundations, earthworks and retaining structures
n
- Assist with slope stability and basic retention assessments (with senior support)
n
- Manage elements of projects and communicate effectively with business partners and stakeholders
n
- Build strong working relationships with internal teams, contractors and business partners
n
Ideal Client Profile nn
- Degree qualified in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering
n
- Approximately 2–8 years experience in geotechnical engineering (flexible depending on capability)
n
- Strong site investigation and logging experience
n
- Confident producing clear, professional interpretive reports
n
- Working knowledge of GeoStudio / SlopeW and AutoCAD (advantageous)
n
- Comfortable working autonomously with access to senior technical support
n
- Strong communication skills and a business partner‑focused mindset
n
- Working towards or interested in attaining RPEQ and/or CPEng
n
- Current Class C drivers licence
n
n
