Healthcare Australia (HCA) is seeking experienced Primary Health Care Nurses to join our Primary Health Services team.
This is an opportunity to provide high-quality, person-centred nursing care in a unique healthcare environment, supporting the health and wellbeing of people in detention.
Day to day!
- Conduct comprehensive health assessments, care planning and chronic disease management
- Deliver evidence-based primary healthcare, including medications, vaccinations, wound care and blood collection
- Provide health promotion, education and support to improve patient health outcomes
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and coordinate access to medical, AOD and allied health services
- Maintain high-quality clinical documentation, follow clinical guidelines and contribute to continuous improvement
Lets talk about you!
You’ll have current unrestricted AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse (Division 1), a minimum of 5 years’ clinical experience, recent hands-on experience in an operational healthcare setting, strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills,
excellent communication, the ability to adapt and prioritise in a changing environment, and a commitment to respectful, person-centred care. A relevant postgraduate qualification is desirable.
