Project: Major New Airport Infrastructure Project - Minimum 8-week project
n Fuse Recruitment are currently seeking experienced Fitters to join our client’s team for a minimum 8-week project on a major infrastructure project in Western Sydney.
n The successful candidates will be involved in the installation, assembly and commissioning of cargo conveyor systems as part of a large-scale airport development.

For you: n

- Monday to Friday roles paying $60 p/hr + Super
n
- Working hours of 6am to 5pm daily (lots of overtime available!)
n

About the Role n

Your responsibilities will include:

n

n




- Installation and assembly of cargo conveyor belt systems
n
- Mechanical fitting, alignment and adjustment of conveyor equipment
n
- Reading and interpreting mechanical drawings and plans
n
- Installation of components, guards, frames, rollers and associated equipment
n
- Mechanical maintenance and fault finding as required
n
- Working closely with supervisors, trades and other project teams
n
- Maintaining a high standard of safety, quality and housekeeping on site
n

About You n

To be successful, you will have:

n

n
- Proven experience as a Mechanical Fitter
n
- Experience with conveyor systems, material handling equipment or industrial installations highly regarded
n
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
n
- Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
n
- Commitment to workplace health and safety
n
- Familiarity with motors, gearboxes, bearings, chains, and conveyor components
n
- Ability to work independently and within a teamStrong commitment to workplace safety and quality standards
n
- Experience in refrigerated or cold-storage facilities advantageous
n
- Strong commitment to workplace health and safety
n
- Ability to work effectively in a team setting
n
- Relevant Australian trade qualification
n
- Construction/industrial site experience
n
- Must have construction White Card
n
- ASIC card is advantageous
n
- EWP, Forklift, or Scissor Lift tickets advantageous
n
- Confined Space ticket advantageous
n
- Current driver’s licence and reliable transport
n
