This role joins a team with a solid track record of developing and promoting its people. You'll work closely with experienced leaders, gain exposure across the business and play a key role in the ongoing evolution of the Financial Accounting function.

About the Role n

Reporting to the Controller - Financial Accounting, this role sits at the centre of finance and operations.

n

You'll be responsible for delivering accurate financial reporting, producing a full set of financial statements, providing commentary and partnering with stakeholders to help them understand the numbers and what is driving business performance.

n

The role requires someone who can comfortably move between the detail and the bigger picture. You'll be analysing results, resolving reporting issues and explaining performance to leaders across both finance and operational teams.

Key responsibilities include:

n

Preparation of monthly financial reports and management reporting packs

n

Producing a full set of financial statements and supporting commentary

n

Month-end reporting, reconciliations and financial control activities

n

Budgeting, forecasting and performance analysis

n

Investigating discrepancies and resolving conflicting data

n

Supporting audit, compliance and governance requirements

n

Working with stakeholders across the business to explain financial results and trends

n

Identifying opportunities to improve reporting, processes and controls

n

About You n

You are technically strong, commercially aware and comfortable working with people at all levels of an organisation.

n

You enjoy understanding the story behind the numbers, aren't afraid to ask questions and can communicate financial information in a way that makes sense to both finance and operational stakeholders.

You will bring:

Experience preparing a full set of financial statements

n

Strong financial and management reporting experience

n

Advanced Excel skills

n

Experience working with ERP systems

n

Strong problem-solving and analytical capability

n

The confidence to communicate with senior stakeholders

n

Excellent attention to detail

n

A collaborative approach and willingness to support others

n

A focus on continuous improvement and strengthening controls

n

The ability to remain calm and effective when priorities shift

n

This role could suit someone who started their career in Audit or Business Services before moving into industry, or an accountant who has built their experience within a medium to large commercial environment and is looking for the next step.
